History
Nestled along the hillside just steps away from the highway in Brgy. Makinhas, City of Baybay, our school stands as a proud symbol within the picturesque surroundings that seamlessly integrate with the rich tapestry of our local community. Established in 1960, our school embarked on its journey as a multigrade institution, playing a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape for the youth in our area during its formative years. As time progressed, a significant milestone was achieved when the institution transitioned into a complete monograde entity, aligning itself with evolving educational standards. This transformative shift was accompanied by the construction of modern DepEd standard buildings, providing state-of-the-art facilities to enhance the overall learning experience for our students.
An influential figure in our school's narrative is Hon. Jorge F. Rebucas, who, having served as the former Barangay Captain of Makinhas, currently holds the esteemed position of SP Member in the 6th Sangguniang Panlungsod of Baybay City, Leyte. His leadership has been instrumental in guiding our institution towards greater heights. The relentless dedication and hard work of both students and faculty
have borne fruit in various academic and extracurricular achievements. Achieving Level II in SBM Level of practice during the 2021-2022 academic year serves as a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence. Beyond the confines of the classroom, our school actively engages with
the community, participating in fiesta activities and tree planting initiatives.
These endeavors aim to instill a sense of civic responsibility and environmental consciousness in our students, fostering a holistic approach to education. While our journey has not been without challenges, such as a decrease in dropouts and a simultaneous increase in enrollment, these obstacles have become opportunities for transformation. As our school continues to evolve, we remain dedicated to fostering an environment of learning, growth, and community engagement. Together, we eagerly anticipate the future, building upon our successes and addressing challenges with unwavering determination.
