For 61 years, Lintaon Elementary School also former known as Lintaon Primary School has stood as a beacon of education and opportunity for the learners of Brgy. Lintaon, Baybay City, Leyte. As a public elementary Multi-grade school, it has played a pivotal role in shaping young minds and preparing them for a successful future. This article delves into the inspiring journey of Lintaon Elementary School, tracing its milestones and honoring the individuals who have contributed to its enduring legacy. Lintaon Primary School was established in 1962 with the noble vision of providing quality education to learners in Barangay Lintaon, Baybay City, Leyte. Its founding was driven by the determination of the Brgy. Officials headed by the late Gorgonio Olleras to create a nurturing educational environment that would empower learners to thrive. In fact, the school lot was donated by the heirs of Lucio Porazo that led to the creation of the school. With the dedication of two teachers without the supervision of a school principal, the school continues to grow and provided education and learning opportunities to individuals. Even if there was only 1 classroom building occupied by two classes for Grades 1 and 2. But unfortunately, in the year 1984 the operation of the school was closed due to the situation brought
about by the New People’s Army where people in the said community vacated to other Barangay to have a peaceful living and away from harm and danger. In 1997, the school was reopened with the help of the District Supervisor Mr. Narciso Dalugdugan and the late Mr. Bismarck Mantua as the classroom teacher handling 2 classes. In 2010, the school was established as Complete Elementary School and it was called as Lintaon Elementary School with the profound efforts of the District In-charge of Baybay 3, Mr. Roger O. Lingatong and the volunteer teacher school board assigned was Mr. Frankray Gil Ompoy handling 3 grades.

Since its inception, Lintaon Elementary School has witnessed tremendous growth and development. The school's commitment to academic excellence and holistic education has propelled it to new heights. Significant milestones, such as having blessed to have had additional classroom buildings for the expansion of the grade levels have marked the journey. Academic achievements, including no nonreaders and non-numerates, were a testament to the dedication of learners and educators alike. Throughout its history, Lintaon Elementary School has been fortunate to have remarkable individuals who have shaped its character and success. The visionary and exceptional school heads through the years namely Trinidad M. Yu, Editha E. Orapa, Charo C. Sombilon, Cindy C. Muñez and Josephine M. Banayag have left an indelible mark on the school. Their unwavering commitment to student welfare, innovative teaching methods, and passion for education have been instrumental in shaping the lives of countless students.

Academic excellence lies at the heart of Lintaon Elementary School's mission. The school has consistently strived to provide learners with a strong educational foundation. Noteworthy achievements, including School with 100% Numerates, District Best Brigada Eskwela School Implementer, Zero Drop-out rate and Zero nonReaders, demonstrate the commitment of both learners and teachers. Beyond academics, Lintaon Elementary School encourages a thriving extracurricular culture, with achievements in doing Good deeds, speaking Good words, and thinking good thoughts made our school as Top 10 Best Schools Implementer of the Three Acts of Goodness FGS- Foundation in the year 2022. Almost three consecutive years, the school was awarded and recipient of Tag Cycle 6, 7 & 8 school approved projects under the leadership of Mrs. Josephine M. Banayag.

At Lintaon Elementary School, community involvement is deeply ingrained in its values. The school actively engages with the local community through various initiatives. Partnerships with community organizations, volunteer projects, and social impact programs like School Based Initiated Feeding program from a Good Samaritan have fostered a sense of social responsibility among our learners, instilling in them the importance of giving back and making a positive difference. Over the years, Lintaon Elementary School has encountered its fair share of challenges. The resilience of the school community, including learners, parents, teachers, and administrators, has enabled the school to overcome obstacles. Some of the key challenges of Lintaon Elementary School has faced include: School Site issues. Each challenge has provided invaluable lessons, fostering a spirit of determination and adaptability that defines the essence of Lintaon Elementary School. As we look back on our journey, we take pride in the collective efforts that have allowed us to conquer these obstacles, and we remain committed to embracing future challenges with the same resilience and determination."
