History
Among the 92 barangays, our school stands proudly along the highway near the coastline, 15 kilometers south from the heart of the City of Baybay. Its picturesque surroundings, encompassed by vast mountain ranges and in close proximity to a flowing river namely Suba and Mabilog creating an environment that reflects the rich tapestry of our local community.
Established in 1950, our school began its journey as a Bitanhuan Community School. During its formative years, it played a crucial role in shaping the educational landscape for the youth in our area.
The school reached a significant milestone when it transitioned into a complete monograde institution. This shift marked a new chapter in its development, aligning with the evolving educational standards. In 2018, three state-of-the-art DepEd standard buildings were erected, and classrooms renovated, providing modern facilities to enhance the learning experience for our students.
Our school has been fortunate to be associated with local heroes, including the esteemed Roy Didal, whose influence has contributed to the positive growth and spirit of the institution.
The dedication and hard work of our students and faculty have borne fruit in various achievements. In 2023, our school proudly emerged as the champion in the Regional Quiz Bee, showcasing the academic prowess of our students. Additionally, the school has been recognized as an Outstanding Gulayan Implementer, highlighting our commitment to holistic education.
Beyond the classroom, our school actively engages with the community. Participating in fiesta activities and tree planting initiatives, we aim to instill a sense of civic responsibility and environmental consciousness in our students.
Our journey has not been without challenges. However, we have made strides in overcoming obstacles, evidenced by a decrease in dropouts and a concurrent increase in enrollment. These transformations underscore our resilience and commitment to providing quality education to the local youth.
As our school continues to evolve, we remain dedicated to fostering an environment of learning, growth, and community engagement. Together, we look forward to the future, building on our successes and addressing challenges with unwavering determination.
