Bidlinan Elementary School

History

In the 1940s, children in Barangay Bidlinan had to go to neighboring barangay school to acquire education. That time only Banahao Elementary School was the established school near Brgy.Bidlinan. People had to send their children to study in Banahao Elementary School which is 4 to 5 kilometers away from the barangay.
In the early 1950s, a group of visionary educators and community leaders came together with a shared vision of providing quality education to the growing population in Barangay Bidlinan. By 1953, Bidlinan Primary school was established. The school started with a humble beginning, serving a small number of students from the local community. The first teacher during that time was Maria Mazo who served the school for a very long time. At first she only had 30 grade one pupils and their classroom was made of wood which was created through the effort of the people in the community.
During the 1960s, Bidlinan Primary School experienced significant growth and expansion. The demand for education increased as families settled in the community, and the school responded by adding new grade levels. By then grade one and grade two class were offered in the school but with one teacher.
By the 1970s, Bidlinan Primary School offered grade one to grade four class with one teacher Juan Sapayla.
As years passed by, a demand for a complete elementary school was increasing. In the year 2000s Bidlinan Elementary School become prominent educational institution in the division. Additional teachers were hired, classrooms were built and introducing a wider range of subjects.
In the 2010s Bidlinan Elementary School embraced educational innovations and progressive teaching methods. The school introduced extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and music, to provide a holistic education. It offered complete grade level from Kindergarten to grade 6 with 3 teachers and 1 school head.
As technology became increasingly prevalent in education, Bidlinan Elementary School adapted by incorporating modern teaching tools and integrating computer literacy into the curriculum. Looking ahead, Bidinan Elementary School remains committed to providing a high-quality education, adapting to the evolving needs of students, and preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the future. The school continues to foster a sense of community and pride among its students, alumni, and staff.
Some of the visionary leaders who contributed much in the progress of Bidlinan Elementary School were Adela C. Amistoso, Helen G. Salas, Corazon V. Abapo, Gilda F. Escasinas, Pamela Valmorida, Leah M. Baldos and Cecile D. Molina. These leaders, each in their respective roles, contribute to the rich tapestry of Bidlinan Elementary School. Together, they lead by example, fostering an environment where education goes beyond textbooks, where character is developed alongside knowledge, and where every student can thrive.
Bidlinan Elementary School excelled in different academic and non-academic contest.
